We slept on and off for four hours.
As we descended into Reykjavik airport, we saw a desolate and rocky coastline. Alex was gleeful in his observation, "it's isolated, very few people, only one road. Perfect place to invade." Watch out Iceland.
Check out our plane!
While Alex was busily preparing his strategy, I was in awe of the fields of purple lupins.
The kids were loopy during our two hour layover. Here they are with Neil before we got onto our next plane (although we had officially gone through customs already).
We arrived in England in the late morning. So far, so good. Neil carried our boxes off to the local post office to mail to Italy while I sat with the kids for an hour and played more Uno and a dice game called left, center, right. By this point, I was the loopy one.
Around 5 PM we headed out across London for our friend's home. Stopped by a rather famous posing spot at King's Cross.
A great evening reconnecting with old friends and meeting their new baby. It's good to be here and on our way...
